The famed competition will be held at Los Angeles Country Club for the first time ever. It promises to be quite the event; the 7,423-yard course is dripping with beauty. From the cadre of evergreens and palm trees that line its pathways to its various hills, ridges, nooks and crannies, every part of the club's par-70 layout was crafted with care.
That should only motivate this year's field. It's a loaded class of talent, one presented with the great unknown of a new course, a new surface. In that environment, sparks can fly. Perhaps a new name can emerge from the wilderness to cement himself in golf lore. It would be the second biggest golf-related highlight to come out in recent weeks.

Those hoping to catch a glimpse of U.S. Open action will have to do so with Peacock. The NBC-owned streaming service will have featured coverage of the entire tournament save for the tail end of Rounds 1 and 2, which will only be offered on USA Network and NBC.
