Sports betting was legalized in North Dakota in December 2021, but online sports betting isn't legal. The earliest state lawmakers can vote on possibly legalizing online sports betting is in 2024. Sports betting in North Dakota happens through federally recognized tribes, which can offer sports betting on their reservations.

North Dakotans must be 21 or older to bet on sports at a retail location (tribal casinos), but all legal sports bets must be made within state lines.
