One of the top influencers to first compete inside a boxing ring, Logan Paul has a large following in the combat sports world. Whether putting on a pair of gloves or jumping out of a WWE ring onto a table, “The Maverick” has found ways to stay relevant outside of YouTube.

Paul last fought at WrestleMania 39, facing and losing to Seth Rollins. While his antics have made him a villain in wrestling, his athleticism has been praised.

Outside of WWE, will Paul get back inside the boxing ring? His brother Jake is thriving as a pro boxer, while Logan has had fun in exhibition and professional contests. The YouTube star isn’t leaving the boxing world behind, as he still has opportunities to grow in the sport.

What’s next for Paul, who juggles combat sports with promoting PRIME and his podcast? Will fight fans see him in action again soon, and, if so, in which setting?

The Sporting News will provide and update a comprehensive timeline of Paul and what the future may hold for him.

Logan Paul WWE career, rumors

Paul made his pro wrestling debut in 2021. He appeared on a segment where Sami Zayn was promoting his documentary. Paul accepted Zayn's invitation to WrestleMania 37, where Zayn faced rival Kevin Owens. After Owens beat Zayn, Paul celebrated with Owens but was hit by a Stone Cold Stunner. Paul returned to WWE in September of that year, helping Happy Corbin against Owens.

In February 2022, Paul was named The Miz's tag team partner for WrestleMania 38. In his in-ring debut, Paul and Miz beat Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Miz attacked Paul after the match.

After signing a multi-event deal with WWE in June, Paul beat Miz at SummerSlam. Not long after, he challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. In an impressive outing, Paul lost. He returned at the Royal Rumble this past January, eliminating Seth Rollins. That resulted in a feud that saw him lose at WrestleMania 39. KSI was even involved in the match.

In April 2023, Paul signed a new deal to remain with WWE for the foreseeable future. It is expected to be a multi-year deal.

"I feel incredibly blessed to have found something that I’m good at, at 28 years old," Paul told ESPN. "And the fact that the organization believes I’m good enough to continue hopefully building this WWE legacy is mind blowing."

Logan Paul's boxing history

In 2018, Paul competed in an amateur boxing fight against another YouTuber in KSI. In Manchester, the bout ended in a draw. The two would compete in a rematch, this time as professionals. The bout was promoted by Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. Hearn supported the matchup after seeing the numbers the first bout did. Taking place inside Staples Center in 2019, 12,000 people inside the building watched KSI win via split decision.

Paul would return to the ring in 2021. He faced boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout. The bout went the distance in an entertaining affair. “The Maverick” has since called out Mayweather for not paying him. He has threatened to sue the Hall of Fame boxer.

When will Logan Paul box again?

As of now, there is no clear idea as to when Paul will fight in the ring again. In the past, Logan Paul has called out Dillon Danis and even Mike Tyson.

Paul did tell talkSPORT that he does have a desire to return to boxing. He stated there is someone on his radar, though a contact hasn't been signed or even delivered.

"There’s a kid from Brazil, his name is Whindersson Nunes," he said. "He’s my age, a little smaller than me but he wants to fight. He’s a comedian on Instagram or something. To be honest, bro, after Mayweather, where do you go from here? I don’t really care. I just want to fight. I want to fight someone, I want to knock someone out and I think Whindersson is a good opponent for me."

Who is Whindersson Nunes?

Nunes, 27, is a Brazilian comedian who has produced videos on YouTube since 2013. He has 58.6 million followers on Instagram and 43.9 million subscribers on YouTube (Paul has 23.4 million Instagram followers and 23.5 million YouTube subscribers). His YouTube channel has over 3 billion views, and he has the second-most watched YouTube channel in Brazil.

Nunes won an amateur bout against Mario Silva in 2019. Turning pro in January, he took on Acelino Freitas, a former WBO and WBA super-featherweight and WBO lightweight champion. Nunes would fight him to a draw and called out Paul after.

The comedian would later get a reply from Paul, who accepted the challenge on social media.

It is unknown if Paul's WWE contract will even allow him time off to box, given how valuable he is to the organization.
