Bummed about the NFL season still being over a month away?
Fear not, the USFL is here to save the day. It's playoff season in the spring league and only three games remain before a champion is crowned.
The best team in the USFL also happens to reside in one of the four host cities — Birmingham.
The Stallions come into the postseason riding a five-game winning streak, cementing themselves as the team to beat. They'll first have to contend with the New Orleans Breakers before playing in the season's final game. The Big Easy's team came out of the gates hot, starting off the campaign 4-0 before going 3-3 down the stretch.

Regardless, it's no secret that the league's elite play comes in the South Division. The same cannot be said for their North Division foes, however.
It took all 10 weeks for the playoff picture to settle and two teams with losing records get a chance to play to experience postseason play — the Michigan Panthers and Pittsburgh Maulers, with one of them playing for a trophy in July.

When do the USFL playoff start in 2023?
- Dates: June 23-July 1
The USFL playoffs start Saturday, June 23, with the first of two semifinal games (Panthers vs. Maulers) at 8 p.m. ET. The second semifinal kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 24, between the Breakers and Stallions.
The winners meet in the USFL championship game Saturday, July 1, bringing the league's second second to a close.

The North and South division championship games will be played June 24 and 25. Canton will be the site for the North and Birmingham hosts the South.
The USFL Championship will be played on Saturday, July 1 at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The game will air on NBC.
