Signing a multi-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing, Edgar Berlanga is ready to showcase his skills to the masses. The 26-year-old's first fight with Eddie Hearn's promotion is against Jason Quigley on June 24.

Airing on DAZN, the fight is in Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theater.

A 2015 US Youth National Championships gold medalist, Berlanga turned pro in 2016 following an amateur record of over 160 wins. "The Chosen One" won his first 16 bouts via knockout. In 2021, he beat Marcelo Esteban Coceres via unanimous decision — his first fight that went the distance. Facing Steve Rolls in March 2022, Berlanga beat him inside the Hulu Theater. His last bout was in June, beating Roamer Alexis Angulo in New York.

Berlanga wants to start his Matchroom career with a bang as he looks to face boxing's best.

"I'm excited to start my new journey with the best promoter in the world, the legend Eddie Hearn," said Berlanga. "I'm looking to build my legacy in the sport of boxing… I'm looking for the big fights, and I know signing with Matchroom was the right choice to get me to where I want to go. I'm humbled by this opportunity, and I will dedicate myself into becoming the best 168-pounder in the world. My main goal is to land the Canelo fight and renew the greatest rivalry in boxing: Mexico vs. Puerto Rico."
