Beaten by Israel Adesanya for the UFC middleweight title, both Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier want redemption. They will decide who gets it in what could be a middleweight title eliminator at UFC Vegas 75 on June 17.

Vettori lost the first fight of his career in 2012. He eventually moved up the ladder, winning the Venator FC welterweight title in Italy. Joining the UFC in 2016, Vettori is 9-4-1 with the promotion. The Italian had a five-fight win streak snapped in 2021 when he faced Adesanya for middleweight gold. Since then, he has gone 2-1.

In his last bout in March, Vettori beat Roman Dolidze via unanimous decision.

Cannonier made his pro debut in 2011. An AFC heavyweight champion, Cannonier lost his UFC debut in 2015. He is 9-6 with the promotion. Cannonier was on a two-fight win streak before fighting Adesanya, who negated his power to retain gold in July 2022. The 39-year-old last fought in December, beating Sean Strickland via unanimous decision.
